It’s true — as a woman and a mother, I feel obligated to put domestic chores and kids’ activities first. I’ve submitted fiction in the past to competitions and literary agents but got discouraged by their lack of interest. Good for you for encouraging women to keep submitting! Male writers, of course, also face rejection, but perhaps more of them are better at taking the shots and keeping going!
