There seem to be a lot of books/memoirs about special needs young children and the struggles to raise them but so little is written about what it’s like to be the parent of an intellectually disabled adult…It’s wonderful for parents in that situation to be able to read about another parent’s experiences, and to learn that you’re not alone.
