Yes, I agree – it feels as though you can do everything while you write in your home office! but sometimes we just need to write.

The best part about writing in a coffee shop is that only the work and I exist — I’m not the dogs’ mother or the cook or the laundress. For a while I am the other me: anonymous, unfettered, free to lose myself in the world I’m creating. How fortunate to be able to do both. Thanks for the reminder. I haven’t been out to write for a while. Maybe this afternoon.

Hi Michelle – for sure the coffee shop doesn’t work for everyone but it seems to work for so many writers that I am hard pressed to go into a coffee shop and not see someone working on their computer or writing in a note book! And, yes, Coffitivity is fun.
