I fall in love with the story and the characters first. Then I work hard to create as many beautiful sentences as I can. I always fall short in that department, but not in the compelling story. Those keep coming and sucking me in. So I keep working on my craft and hope, some day, to be able to say I’ve achieved as many beautiful sentences in a book as I want. Best of luck to you.
