My husband is very supportive–especially of the memoir, Never Too Late: From Wannabe to Wife at 62–which he calls “our” book. In some ways it is. I certainly couldn’t have written it if he weren’t in my life. Love supportive spouses, friends, and relatives.

Hi Kathy, Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. And I absolutely think it’s a great idea to also involve spouses or best friends in your journey. I’ve recently been working with a writer and she had her hubby reading through the print-out of her novel for typos:) Even from a distance, I could tell that he was very involved and supportive of her writing goals, which was so great!

To have your children feel the highs and lows, and share in the creative process? Life-changing. And then to have them follow your example? Phenomenal!

A slightly modified approach would work with a best friend or spouse.
