I almost met my future husband twice when I lived in Birmingham, UK, but actually met him the following year when we were students in Sunderland. I conceived our first child the day Himself had a job interview and He got the job. I’m not sure how much that was serendipity and how much superstition but it worked. It just so happens I was talking to my 13 year-old son today about this very thing. About how you can’t keep yourself cloistered and that life happens when you put yourself out there. Chance meetings are the joy of life and the sign of a life lived. Sometimes you listen to that voice in your head and it makes your heart sing.
