It’s amazing to see people’s reactions when you say you’re a writer. I’ve sold one at a gate at SFO, and another on my flight from Edmonton to Abbotsford, BC. The couple I sold it to even came to my appearance at the Surrey writers’ conference to get it signed. Try it. It works! 🙂

Thanks, Jennifer. Yes, I started college in 1988 too and used those years in the book to write a realistic college experience (I couldn’t easily write what college is like today) and to put some universal truths against the backdrop of another era.

Amen to getting more insurance coverage for doula care – so important in each phase and certainly in the case of hyperemesis. I’m no longer practicing as a doula but I take repeat clients (that’s dwindling) and the novel I’m working on now features a doula.
