Aww, Anora! So kind of you – as always. 🙂 I will also miss working with you but I will certainly keep in touch. =)

You’ve been amazing. Only twice before in my career have I had the opportunity to work with interns as motivated and efficient as you have been. It’s the difference between power steering and manual; or between a power lawnmower and a hand-pushed one. You are self-propelled. My challenge was keeping up with your pace!

I could not have asked for a better experience. You wrote several pages, building our content about women writers from other countries. You wrote a number of How-To posts with screenshots, helping others accomplish things online. And your networking on LinkedIn resulted in more than several submissions, something we had not done before. All of my guest writers came from Twitter connections.

Your contributions and generosity in time worked, editing each post, laying out the pictures, adding tags and categories, highlighting key sentences was like a rocket booster. Your request for feedback, your absorption of new information – like building your LinkedIn network, and growing connections on Twitter – was amazing.

Perhaps most important to Women Writers, Women Books, your assistance over the summer made it possible for us to set up a sponsorship program which brought in three sponsors over the fall of 2012, and in the fall, made it possible for me to focus on exploring a 24/7 tweet program. That’s taking an online magazine to a new level.

Outstanding job as Assistant Editor, Victoria Shockley. I will miss working with you, and know you’re moving on to where you can keep growing and learning. I look forward to watching your career develop, and to seeing more of your writing.

–Anora McGaha, Editor
