No point in a person gushing about a book to please us…we neither learn nor develop our art that way. I had a few five stars reviews, so I phoned a member of my writer’s group and said…please please look at it with your critical eye and get back to me. He hasn’t as yet. I too have had highs like the emails out of the blue from readers and the early days when press were more than happy to add an article or two. It’s getting tougher to get book-signings and publicity though and I did hit a low recently, bogged down with marketing…almost paralysed…not knowing what to do next…when I’d rather be creative…but something keeps me going. I wish you good fortune and the good grace to take the lows with the highs. Diana Jackson
