While I’ve read some of these suggestions elsewhere, you make everything sound so doable. Perhaps it’s because you are talking about “leaning in” instead of “marketing.”

Excllent article packed with tips, Hazel. These are good tactics whether you are self-published or mainstream published. As you show, it’s the attitude that counts and I suspect you were as energetic when you were self-published as you are now! Good luck with the next book.

Hi Hazel, Great to read your article. Absolutely ALL of what you wrote really resonated with me. I had my first novel published just a couple of months ago, so am still getting my head around everything that comes with that and how I need to get ‘out there’ which at times feels overwhelming. But as you say, it’s great to connect with other writers and look upon this networking as opportunities rather than hindrances.
