Hi Julianne ~ I’m sure you are enjoying living in London! That’s where my traveling life began when I spent a year there … back in the day … when I was 21. One of the best parts is how easy it is to visit other wonderful places, right? I know the February weather in Nice was not the best this year, but I hope you enjoyed the beauty of the area in spite of that. I’m counting the days until we are back there in June. Thanks for stopping by to comment!

I’m from Nova Scotia, and I love to travel as well. We are living in London for the year and went to Nice, France in February and it was lovely! Your women’s tours sound like a lot of fun!

I so agree that location adds such another dimension to fiction. And you do it so beautifully. I feel I can taste the food and see the beauty of the landscapes you are describing in the south of France. It is one of my favorite places in the world, and whenever I read your work, I feel I’m there again. You give us the true gift of experiencing the place with your words, and I am grateful.

Christine, perhaps one of these years that dream will come true. How much fun would that be??? It’s satisfying to know that the stories and blog post inspire dreams and wishes.

Wow, Annie! Thank you for that amazing comment. I’m glad you fell in love with the south of France through my stories. I would love to beam you along on one of our tours! But I know you will always be along in spirit and I’ll keep posting those photos for you. 🙂

Since reading Drawing Lessons, I’ve been dreaming of a trip to the French countryside. And I would love to take a trip with you!

You make it so that I could hear, taste, see and smell a both Toronto and France. Both of which I had never seen. Both of which I hope to see one day, Mostly France, Ok..Mostly, Provence and Nice. Yes, of course I always wish to attend your trip.
See, the thing is; Patricia; You are not from this area on the map. You are not a local, you simply fell in love with the area, and decided she to bring it to life in a story. Because you saw more then just it’s beauty, you tsaw its magic, That is exactly why we are so drawn in…because you are really in love with the location you are telling us about, At least that is what I believe. You couldn’t make us fall in love, if you weren’t.
When an author truly knows and studies a location that is fantastic, especially when brought to paper in a story.
But when and author truly loves a location, adores it, drinks it all in by sheer choice, only magic follows…
and, that is why all four of your novels truly feel like couch travel to me, from meeting Phillipe to eating cheese on a fresh baguette. Wine, Winding roads, beautiful landscapes, and wine, all of those moments I can only hope can truly happen, because I believe they can. They feel like more then daydreaming, because you make them seem possible,
So, Location absolutely matters in a story,
Patricia, you are a gifted writer. Beyond Words,
