Thanks so much for your comment Nettie and you’re absolutely right – the pages are excellent for handling stress. When I become overwhelmed I absolutely MUST write it out to get my head clear again and reach a state of calm.

Best of luck with your writing – I’d love to hear how your morning pages go!

I often recommend it to students who seem unable to figure out what they want to do with their talent.

Since turning 50 I have become more interested in this philosophy and find it a great way of handling stress. I know there is a growing movement of ‘mindful writing’ too. I find meditation help me too. It helps me to be a better person. Whether or not it makes me a better writer has yet to be seen!
Good luck with your writing endeavors, Shaheen, and may you be healthy and at peace.
