They’re worse than the government with this kind of multi-level bureaucracy and protracted processes! Can’t they empower their staff to make timely decisions? It’s hard to know what this deal is worth to the author’s career–would she meet the same future success had she given up and taken another route rather than withstanding the stress of waiting? Congratulations, Kristi, on amazing patience, an obviously great novel, and an excellent message to authors about following their instincts.
