I’m sorry about your cousin — and yes, it is difficult for the entire family. Writing absolutely is therapeutic! Thank you.

Painful for the whole family but especially for her parents. I know it’s a loss you never get over.
Glad you found comfort in your dog and were finally able to get back to writing. I find writing therapeutic and I hope it has helped you heal.

Yes, it’s true, we never know, and grief is a horrific spectre. It helps to remember we aren’t alone in our grief. Thank you for your warm words.

I thank you too, for sharing your story. We never know when the horrific spectre of grief will enter our life. As we learn then, the path through is different for everyone and the loss remains a part of us. Somehow we become stronger and appreciate the gift of each day. You share that message so well here.

What strength you have to journey through such sorrow and emerge with such wisdom.

Thank you, Susan. You, too, understand how grief leaves its mark, and how writing and sharing helps us all. Love to you.

I went through a similar experience when my mum died of cancer. At first, writing became impossible. Then, when I slowly came back to it, it saved my health of mind.
There’s healing in sharing, I believe. Even if it’s sharing through a story.
