Hurrah for the Invisible Days which motivate us.

But at least when a book is published and someone writes ‘I loved the bit when blah blah’, you know that it worked… even if you had forgotten all about it by then.

Writing is a solitary profession, and it is best that we understand that before embarking upon it; it’s not about chatting on Facebook groups or commenting on blog posts – at least, not once the ‘social networking hour’ is over 😉

I nodded a lot while reading it. I write a heck of a lot between lasagne cooking & washing up, and on trains. Here’s to invisible days x

Every single word you wrote resonated with me. Your post could be titled, The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Writer…that’s how I think of myself. Here’s to more crystal flutes and fewer brown bags for all of us. Hopping back over to Twitter now to find and follow you, where I’m looking forward to procrastinating with you. To paraphrase some sage ski advice: FingerTips Up!

Interesting to realise that even best selling authors feel like this sometimes. So far all my days are invisible days but here’s hoping that this might change. And honestly, I’m so enjoying being cosseted away with my characters, creating their journey I’m actually enjoying my invisibility!

Was having EXACTLY one of your invisible days, and feeling very sorry for myself. Now feeling much less miserable, and shall go and walk the dogs to celebrate!
