Every successive book is a little easier to write and practicing the skill of writing makes it stronger. Those little bits of reward are what make us eager to sit back down at our computers and get down to work again – and working makes us better writers.

Even if we only mention it once or twice, a well written and detailed five star review is something we can hug to ourselves and treasure. I’ve even copied and posted some on my site as little moral boosters.

We need a reward for our effort and a reader who takes the time and effort to write a review or send an author an appreciative email is that reward. After all, we’re not in it for the money!
